Letters Home from Camp Tadpole
Primary Reading Development with
Audio Support

Grades 1 - 2

box box Beginning readers enjoy reading short letters written at Camp Tadpole. Five levels of difficulty offer letters of one sentence in length to letters containing five or more sentences. Set options to provide one of three levels of audio support, or have students read on their own. Audio support options include full narration, click to hear any word, or click to hear challenge words only.

Program Options: Select one of 5 reading levels for readibility from .9 to 2.9. Set one of 4 audio support levels as students grow from reading along to reading independently. Decide to have the students keep and build their camp patch collections over time, or start a new collection at every new computer session.

Options and Easy Track: Set activity options for the whole class all at once or for any selected group or individual.

Student Records: A summary screen provides feedback on student performance for the latest session, last 5 sessions, and cumulative work to date. Scores may be viewed as number right/total, as a percent, or as a letter grade. The child can view the summary as a star chart. Student records may be printed. Open Easy Track for more detailed records. Compare individual records to class, grade level, or selected group averages. Assess graphs of student growth for any specific learning objective. A variety of charts and graphs may be customized and are available for printing.

Easy Track is included with all Micrograms programs.
